A mother, teacher, writer and forever student, my life is full, involved and vital.
I am happy – not because things
are going so well in the world but because I have sharp tools:
sieves, balances, filters. I have two precious children, wonderful
friends and family, great health, a passion for reading, a speaking
talent and a way with words that may be part of my
Scots-Irish-French Canadian heritage. I delight to see beauty all
around me and where it is not, to create it.
As a teacher in Montreal for over twenty five years, now retired, I have come to understand that my best gift to others is to
model my own talents and happiness well.
Teaching, just like learning, is about sharing perspective and ideas, encouraging others to be all they can be, never to create dependencies
and always to empower everyone, including ourselves, to shine. This far precedes any curriculum to be
'covered.' Disempowerment and diminishment of people by dominant
others is all about death while creativity is all about life!
Imagination is the birthplace!
My blog is suspended until publication of my memoir in 2011.
